Man Kills Wife, Self After Split-Up
A disgruntled husband, possibly angry over a recent split with his wife, shot and killed her early Sunday as she drove into her underground garage at a Hawthorne apartment building, and then shot himself, Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies said.
Curtis Saxon, 41, shot Diane Saxon, 43, about 4 a.m. as she parked her car, according to deputies. He had followed her into the garage and parked his car behind hers, blocking her in, deputies said. After Diane Saxon turned off her engine, Curtis Saxon walked up to her window and shot her twice in the head.
He then fired one shot into his own head.
Deputies found the bodies after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots.
The couple had apparently been separated for a few weeks.
