Neglected Talent
A quick, heartfelt thanks to Times writer Eric Shepard for his profile of that criminally neglected talent, Dorothy Lyman (“Smiling Beyond Her Apocalypse,” Calendar, July 24). It was long overdue and much appreciated.
A postscript should be added, however, about Lyman’s impressive resume as a theater director, which wasn’t mentioned. Among those credits are the original Off Broadway production of “A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking,” starring Susan Sarandon and Eileen Brennan, and the Los Angeles premiere of “The Sum of Us.” Get this woman more work!
