Canoga Park : Shopping Program to Aid Needy Youths
A group of 60 needy children are scheduled to participate in a one-hour shopping spree at 8:30 a.m. today at Mervyn’s in Fallbrook Mall.
Called ChildSpree, the program allows children to purchase shirts, pants, dresses and undergarments to prepare for the new school year. The shopping expedition is sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Adopt a Child Abuse Caseworker Program and Mervyn’s. Participants were chosen by the individual agencies.
Additional items from Target, Fallbrook Express and the Discovery Zone will also be given to the children.
