California Institutions Receive Arts Grants
Seven Southern California arts institutions have received grants from the federally funded Institute of Museum of Services.
Winners of general operating support are San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla ($112,500), Fowler Museum of Cultural History at UCLA ($112,500), California Museum of Photography in Riverside ($94,683), and Mingei International Museum in San Diego ($82,176).
Smaller grants for art conservation projects went to L.A. County Museum of Art’s Robert Gore Rifkind Center for German Expressionist Studies ($25,000), UCLA’s Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts ($20,431) and Santa Barbara Museum of Art ($7,394)
