Countywide : Shelter to Use Grant to Counsel Children
An Orange County shelter for women and children has won a $25,000 grant through the ConAgra Foundation Community Service Awards program.
The money will be utilized to expand the Women’s Transitional Living Center’s program to help children who have been subjected to traumatic childhoods, according to the center’s officials.
The center was nominated for the award by Hunt Foods Co. of Fullerton, which is part of Con-Agra Inc., an international food company.
The awards are given annually across the nation.
