OUTLOOK
Craven isn’t as high on the Mariners as the other league coaches, who are picking Pacifica first or second. Craven picks his team fourth, based on inexperience at quarterback, lack of overall depth and a suspect kicking game. Its strength is defense, specifically the linebackers and defensive line, which includes Jackson, a transfer from Malibu Kilpatrick, and Morfin, a returning all-league player. The tailback spot will be shared by Leveaux, a basketball player, and Hamm, a transfer from Garden Grove.
