Valleywide : Comfortable Weather Forecast for the Week
Mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures dominated the weather in the Valley this weekend, and should continue for the rest of the week, the National Weather Service forecast.
“This, right now, is what you would expect for October,” said Clay Morgan, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service station in Oxnard.
No rain is expected. “October is usually a pretty dry period,” Morgan said. “And it looks like it is going to stay that way for at least the first half of the month.”
A cooling marine layer, causing morning low clouds and fog, moved into the Valley over the weekend, replacing weak Santa Ana winds that brought warmer temperatures last week.
High temperatures for today were expected to be 85 in Northridge, 84 in Van Nuys, 85 in Burbank and 87 in Woodland Hills.
The marine layer could lessen later in the week, but temperatures should rise only slightly, Morgan said.
