Delta to Trade Las Vegas Route for Nonstop Flight to Atlanta
SANTA ANA — Delta Air Lines said it will begin offering a nonstop flight Dec. 1 between Orange County and Atlanta as part of its winter schedule.
The carrier is dropping its Orange County-to-Las Vegas flight, said John Ohle, Delta’s Orange County station manager.
The daily 8:55 a.m. flight to Atlanta will replace a nonstop flight to Dallas. The new nonstop will arrive in Atlanta at 3:40 p.m. The return flight from Atlanta departs at 5:35 p.m. and arrives in Orange County at 7:20 p.m. daily.
Delta has seven daily flights at county-owned John Wayne Airport, where passenger jet operations are tightly controlled under terms of a court-imposed noise abatement plan. Under the new schedule, Delta will have the Atlanta nonstop, two flights to Dallas and four to Salt Lake City each day from Orange County.
