OXNARD : Artist Sought for Festival Poster Design
Got a knack for painting big, plump, pretty strawberries? Want to see your work published all over Oxnard? Gather up your best material.
Organizers for the 1996 California Strawberry Festival are asking artists with published work to create the event’s official poster.
The festival committee is accepting portfolios and will select the poster artist based on quality and style, as well as “previous solutions to graphic challenges,” according to a news release.
Final candidates will be asked to submit specific concepts to the committee for the 1996 California Strawberry Festival poster.
The winning artist will be paid a stipend for the creation of the final work, which will be reprinted on T-shirts, programs and other items as well as posters.
Interested artists should submit their portfolios to Oxnard’s special events office, 1621 Pacific Ave, No. 127. The deadline is Nov. 30.
