Baseball spokesman Rich Levin said acting Commissioner Bud Selig and American League President Gene Budig are “investigating and deciding what to do about” the Tuesday night incident in which Cleveland left fielder Albert Belle verbally harassed several members of the media, including NBC’s Hannah Storm, in the Indians’ dugout several hours before the game.
Although Belle has been abusive to reporters on several occasions during the postseason without any response from the Indian or baseball officials, Selig did ask Storm for her account of what she said was “a four-minute tirade” in which he yelled “get the . . . out of the dugout” among other things.
