Starting kicker Adam Abrams has pronounced himself healed after a season-long injury, small tears in his upper right quadriceps. But Coach John Robinson said Thursday that he’ll be the judge of that.

Abrams began experiencing pain late during the August training camp and aggravated the injury in the opener against San Jose State. He has played in only three games, with three field goals and 12 extra-point conversions.

He kicked short field goals Wednesday and Thursday, reporting no pain.

“He’s not healed until I pronounce him healed,” Robinson said.

Meanwhile, walk-on freshman kicker Adam Rendon, who kicked the extra point that tied Washington Saturday, is nursing a groin injury. He is perfect (15 for 15) on conversions and is three for five on field goals.
