San Gabriel Valley : Reward Offered in Bombing at School
The Rowland Unified School District posted a $5,000 reward Monday for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for a pipe bomb explosion at Nogales High School in La Puente on Oct. 30 that injured three youths.
“The Board [of Education] and the community want to know who did this,” said Supt. Ron Leon.
He said the award was approved at Thursday’s Board of Education meeting to aid police in their search for suspects in the case.
The blast occurred when James Price, 16, discovered the bomb in a locker next to his. The device went off, leaving him with wounds on his hands, face and chest. Francisco Villalobes, 15, suffered a concussion and Juan Villafortes, 15, received cuts on his hands and face.
