Boeing Considers Helicopter Production in China: The Seattle-based aircraft maker said it is reviewing a plan to revive its Chinook commercial helicopter by restarting production in China. Boeing Co. is in talks with Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing to produce a commercial version of the Chinook, which Boeing used to produce in Philadelphia. Boeing stopped making commercial versions of the Chinook in the early 1980s because demand for the helicopter waned. It still produces Chinooks for the military.
