MOORPARK : Rush-Hour Crash Backs Up Freeway Traffic
An accident caused by a hit-and-run driver on California 23 just south of Tierra Rejada Road on Tuesday morning backed up rush-hour traffic for miles, authorities said.
The 8:24 a.m. incident southeast of Moorpark left a truck overturned on the center divider and two cars stranded on the right shoulder, California Highway Patrol officials said.
Officers said a car that fled the scene had apparently made an improper lane change that caused a chain-reaction accident. The truck and one of the cars rolled several times, but the occupants suffered only minor injuries, authorities said.
Police did not provide a description of the car that was blamed for the crash.
