Obituaries : * Jack R. Hickman; Calibration Specialist
Jack R. Hickman, a 27-year Ventura County resident, died Monday in Camarillo. He was 75.
Hickman was born May 27, 1920, in Dewar, Okla. The Camarillo resident was a retired calibration specialist, having worked for Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica and Litton Data Systems in Van Nuys.
Hickman was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific, and was a member of the Camarillo post of the American Legion. He was also an avid bowler.
“He was an electronics man, and repaired many televisions, radios and hi-fis for friends,” said Joan Hickman, his wife of 39 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Harry Hickman of Hawthorne, and his sisters, Norma Jean Berkey of Locust Grove, Okla., and Marge Mason of Henrietta, Okla.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo. Rosary will be at 7:30 tonight at the mortuary.
Services are scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Camarillo. Burial will be in Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo.
