Will more Santa Clarita citizens tune in their City Council a la C-Span? The council will soon find out.
It has approved $175,000 for cameras and state-of-the-art equipment to broadcast council meetings. City administrator Steve Stark says the new cameras will allow for close-ups and panoramic views, instead of the tiny talking heads that are seen now.
That will “alleviate residential concerns that the council members appear too small on their television screens,” he said.
