Pets will enjoy a festive Yuletide season in Santa Monica this year, as cat and dog food was for the first time included in the holiday food baskets Santa Monica police distributed to underprivileged families.
The donated pet food was added to the toys and human food given to 70 Santa Monica families Thursday in a event sponsored by police and local businesses.
