Disconcerting Concert
I attended a KLOS-sponsored rock concert Dec. 9 with my 14-year-old daughter, who, during a recent call-in contest of the radio station, won the two tickets that got us into the concert. My intention of enjoying and enthusiasm of accompanying my daughter to her first rock concert turned into embarrassment and rage when one of the male disc jockeys, while on the stage during intermission, solicited the audience to chant obscenities. Did he know that the station’s contest was open to anyone, with no age restriction, and that a minor could have been inside that place? If an event like this is to happen again, I suggest KLOS warn their listeners-- on the air --that the contest is for adults only.
