Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder in Stabbing Death
BUENA PARK — Investigators arrested a 24-year-old man Friday in connection with the killing of a Buena Park man whose body was found with multiple stab wounds in a trash dumpster, police said.
Jeffery Thomas Newvine, 24, of Buena Park was booked at the city jail on suspicion of murder and is expected to be arraigned early next week, Lt. Robert Chaney said.
Newvine is a suspect in the death of Norman Lee Twitchell, 39, whose body was discovered in a recycling bin Thursday morning in the 8300 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
Twitchell had slash wounds to his throat and stab wounds to his back, Chaney said.
Investigators declined to elaborate on what evidence led them to Newvine.
