VENTURA : Teens Arrested After Parking Lot Attack
Ventura police arrested two Oxnard teenagers Friday after they allegedly attacked a Ventura youth with brass knuckles and belt buckles in the parking lot of Vons Market on Thompson Boulevard, authorities said.
Jose Echevarria of Ventura was confronted by Alfredo Lomelin, 18, Adolfo Castillo, 19, and two others about 7 p.m. Thursday, police said.
The attack followed a brief argument. All the suspects fled, but Lomelin and Castillo were caught as they tried to get into a vehicle, police said.
Echevarria was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Castillo and Lomelin were taken to Ventura County Jail.
Lomelin was being held on $20,000 bail late Friday. Castillo was out on bail.
