Grizzlies Spurt Past Ice Dogs, 5-3

SALT LAKE CITY — Danton Cole scored two goals as the Utah Grizzlies defeated the Ice Dogs for the sixth consecutive time, 5-3, Friday night in the International Hockey League.
The Grizzlies scored three goals in a row in the second period to overcome a 3-2 deficit. Brett Lievers tied the game with a goal at 8:49. Cole scored the go-ahead goal at 14:22, followed by Micah Aivazoff’s goal 31 seconds later.
The Ice Dogs outshot the Grizzlies, 29-23.
