Darnell Autry said the strangest aspect of Northwestern’s wild ride to the Rose Bowl has been “how the media went nuts.
“At first it was [school officials saying,] ‘You guys are going to get more attention than usual.’ Then we started having closed practices and they have to pull us away from the media,” he said. “It used to be we would invite people to our practices, ‘Please come out. Just 10 minutes. C’mon, give us a look.’ ”
