Man Armed With Knife Holds Up Hotel
Ventura police were searching Sunday for a man who stole at knifepoint an undisclosed amount of money from the Best Western Inn on Thompson Boulevard.
The robber--a thin man in his 30s, about 6 feet tall--knocked on the hotel’s south lobby door shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday. An employee unlocked the door and let him inside.
The man then pulled a knife, said he also had a gun and demanded money. After taking what police described as a small amount of cash, the robber fled on foot.
No one was injured in the incident.
