Tribute for Nixon’s 83rd Birthday Today
To commemorate former President Richard Nixon’s 83rd birthday, which would have been today, the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace will host a lecture and celebration.
The festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with a tribute to the late president by Dimitri K. Simes, head of the Nixon Center for Peace and Freedom.
At noon, a multiservice military honor guard will lay wreaths on Nixon’s grave. Admission to the museum will be free all day.
“President Nixon used his birthday to look ahead. We’ll be doing the same, and we welcome everyone to join us,” said John H. Taylor, executive director of the library foundation.
