ALBUM REVIEWS : Bobbie Cryner, “Girl of Your Dreams,” MCA.(** 1/2)
This Northern Californian’s second album is less consistently fresh than her gem of a debut in 1993. Fortunately, the slow spots are few, and frequently she remains frightfully adept, both as a singer and a writer of country ballads, at walking the precarious ledge overlooking Lover’s Leap.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
