Sketch of Robber Released by Police
Police have released a composite sketch of a man who robbed a husband and wife of $40,000 earlier this month after they withdrew money from a Home Savings Bank for their check-cashing business.
The couple had just made the withdrawal from the bank in the 500 block of North Euclid Street on the morning of Jan. 19 when the man confronted them outside their car, police said.
The robber pushed the man to the ground and sprayed him with a chemical substance, possibly pepper spray, as a second man stood by as a lookout, police said.
The names of the victims and their business are not being released by police pending completion of the investigation, Lt. Ted Labahn said.
The main assailant is described as described as about 30, Latino, 5 feet 7 and 180 pounds, with short, black, slightly wavy hair. He was seen standing in front of the bank at least 20 minutes before the victims arrived. Anyone with information is asked to call Anaheim Detective Greg Palmer at (714) 254-1966.
