CYPRESS STILL: With Cypress Hill coming to town for a Universal Amphitheatre show next Sunday, word was coming in from the road that the hemped-up hip-hop trio was splitting. In fact, reports from some shows were that the group had already broken up in everything but name, as rapper B Real was the only member actually performing.

Not true, says Cypress Hill manager Happy Walters. Yes, Sen Dog isn’t on the road at all for the group’s current tour and DJ Muggs is only joining in for some of the shows. But the group is still together.

“B Real is on the road, basically just him,” says Walters. “That’s because he wants to tour and the other guys are working on other projects. Muggs has been doing some producing and Sen is working on a side-project band, SX-10. To be honest, it was this same way on Lollapalooza [last year] and all their tours before. But Cypress Hill is alive and well.”.
