2 Men Shot to Death in High Desert
LANCASTER — Two 18-year-old men were gunned down and killed by an unknown attacker Friday evening, sheriff’s deputies said.
One victim, identified as Tyrone Overstreet, was found dead between two apartment buildings. The other, Jerek Armstrong, was rushed to Antelope Valley Medical Center with at least one shot in his chest but died about 90 minutes later, deputies said. Both victims were from Lancaster.
There were no witnesses, according to deputies, who responded to reports of shots fired about 7 p.m. in the 300 block of East Avenue H-14.
