League Deplores Swastika on Door
As an organization founded on respect for individuals and the value of diversity, the League of Women Voters of Ventura County deplores the action taken against the Jewish Community of the Oaks in the form of a swastika on their door.
We stand with the Jewish Community against anti-Semitism and racism in all forms. We will continue to work for citizen participation in the democratic process, and to engage communities in promoting positive public policy issues through education and advocacy. We see a fully informed electorate participating in democratic decision-making as the best chance of avoiding the horror that this image symbolizes. May it never happen again!
