Interlink Electronics Reports Rise in Revenues

Interlink Electronics in Camarillo announced that revenues for the first quarter ended March 31 were up 22% from first quarter 1995.

Revenues for the three months were $2.8 million, while net income totaled $53,000, or 1 cent per share, as compared to a net loss of $71,000 or 2 cents per share, for the first quarter of 1995.

Operating income reached $73,000 for the quarter, versus an operating loss of $76,000 for the same period in 1995.

“The VersaPoint computer-pointing device product line was up 46% over the first quarter of 1995, due in part to our recent distribution agreement with Computer City and our strong success in integrating VersaPoint technology into rugged portable computers,” said E. Michael Thoben, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Interlink.

“While the computer industry showed signs of slower-than-expected growth, our quarter-end backlog has never been higher.”

Interlink Electronics designs and manufactures computer pointing device technologies and products, including desktop mice, built-in keyboard pointing devices and hand-held remote controls with mouse functionality.
