Boys & Girls Club Plans Summer Camp
The West Valley Boys & Girls Club is looking for 7- to 12-year-old kids for its second annual summer camp.
The club will run two sessions of camp, one from June 24 to July 26, the other from July 29 to Aug. 23. Prospective campers are urged to apply early because space is limited to 125 children per session.
Program offerings include a computer laboratory, game-room activities, outdoor recreation, twice-a-week swimming, arts and crafts, plus a trip to Universal Studios for the first session and a trip to Hurricane Harbor during the second.
The Boys & Girls Club, which opened last June, held its first summer camp last year, attended by 130 children from 30 elementary and middle schools, club officials said.
The club is in rooms 16, 19 and 20 at Calvert Street Elementary School, 19850 Delano St., Woodland Hills.
