Author Who Teaches as Well as She Writes
Though I have yet to read one of her books, it’s no mystery to me that Elizabeth George is such a successful author (“Murder, She Writes,” June 9). Her fiction writing course, which I took through Coastline Community College in the late ‘80s is the best writing class I’ve ever experienced.
Indeed, she is a fiction student’s dream: a successful author who is also a keen and perceptive instructor and a tough, knowledgeable critic who can find the good in the even the most toxic first-draft manuscript.
If you’ve ever entertained the idea that you might like to write, take Elizabeth’s fiction class. You’ll learn from a superb and gifted teacher who also just happens to be a best-selling author.
