More Friendly French

We can echo the Olsons’ experience in France (Letters, June 16). Recently we returned from a two-week bus tour of France and one week on our own in Paris. The entire trip was wonderful, and we fell in love with Paris. We were standing in a long line at the post office on I^le St. Louis when I said “Bonjour” to the gentleman in front of us, and from somewhere he produced a chair for my wife to sit on. Then he found a chair for me! This really happened in Paris.
