Unisys Executive Quits: The computer maker said its chief financial officer resigned, the second CFO to leave in less than seven months. Edward Blechschmidt will leave Unisys on July 31 for Siemens Nixdorf Information Systems, the company said. Unisys plans to report second-quarter earnings Wednesday, but analysts said they didn’t see his departure as directly related to the company’s earnings report. Unisys is expected to report a loss amid ongoing restructuring efforts. “The fact that this is the second CFO who has been a longtime Unisys executive who decided to leave implies that things must be difficult at the company,” said John Jones, a Salomon Bros. analyst. Unisys stock fell 37.5 cents, closing at $5.625 on the New York Stock Exchange.
