South Village District Celebrates Opening
The South Village business district is celebrating its opening at 6 p.m. today with festivities that include open houses, food and entertainment.
Laguna Beach Mayor Wayne L. Peterson and more than 30 merchants, restaurant owners and professionals will take part in ceremonies to commemorate a recent renovation to make the area more attractive to residents and visitors.
The South Village encompasses a 10-block area between Thalia and Diamond streets along Glenneyre Street and South Coast Highway.
The village district includes specialty shops, galleries and restaurants as well as the landmark La Casa del Camino hotel and an antique district.
