Pair Held in Robberies Across Three Counties
Two men were arrested Friday on suspicion of committing robberies and attempted robberies across three counties.
Anaheim police announced that Chris Williams, 28, and Anthony Davis, 35, both of Riverside, have been charged with robbery. Bail was set at $250,000.
Williams was arrested about 4:15 Friday afternoon after he left a Riverside motel. He was armed with a loaded handgun and taken into custody at the Anaheim Police Department without incident, authorities said.
Davis was arrested about 6 p.m. outside a Riverside residence without incident. He was booked at Anaheim Police Department.
Williams and Davis are believed to have robbed a Super Kmart in Anaheim. Robberies also occurred at auto parts stores in San Bernardino, Temecula, Chino and Redlands.
They were identified after television stations aired their photographs and the public called in with information.
