Simple Solution to Traffic Problem
Re: Traffic control at Montgomery Street and Ojai Avenue.
Instead of European style “loopyishness” that envisions U-turns on a main street or state-mandated monstrosities with the inanity of a jillion stoplight poles, why not try a simple solution first?
How about no left turns from Montgomery onto Ojai Avenue? Perhaps initially a limited prohibition during peak travel times and weekends would suffice. For consideration: No left turns from noon to 6 p.m. daily. A left turn at midnight, for example, doesn’t raise a single safety concern.
The solution is K.I.S.S.--Keep It Simple, Stupid!
