Promises, Promises
My bride and I read your article on all-inclusive resorts (“One Price, Many Pleasures,” Aug. 11) with great interest, having just returned from our honeymoon in the British Virgin Islands, at the Bitter End Yacht Club, one of the resorts mentioned in your article.
The resort’s brochure said: “Also included: Dine out once at a neighboring resort.” What was not mentioned was that only a portion of the cost of the meal would be paid for. We had to pay a substantial sum to make up the difference.
Reading an all-inclusive resort’s brochures is not always enough. It is important to check with people who have actually been there.
