Collision Kills Pickup Truck Driver
LANCASTER — A Helendale woman died Friday morning after her truck collided with a car in an unincorporated area northeast of Lancaster, California Highway Patrol officers said.
Barbara Jackson, 55, died of her injuries at Lancaster Community Hospital, said CHP Officer Scott Weldy.
Jackson was driving west on Avenue G about 7:45 a.m. when she ran a stop sign at 30th Street East, Weldy said. Jackson’s Ford pickup truck was struck by a car traveling north on 30th East. The driver of that car suffered minor injuries.
