Lawsuit Fees
Julie Korenstein and David Tokofsky, Los Angeles Unified School District board members, are right to protest the massive legal and administrative fees of $4.5 million in the ACLU lawsuit (Metro, Sept. 4), which claimed that LAUSD special education “students were receiving a grossly inadequate education.” Our legal system has absconded with the money which should have been applied to the special education program to benefit the students. This kind of legal action does more harm than good.
