Penguins Next Up on Exhibition Trip
The Ducks (1-1-1) continue their two-game exhibition trip against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Rose Garden in Portland at 7:30 tonight.
Teemu Selanne scored two goals--one on a short-handed breakaway--during a 2-2 tie Saturday in Las Vegas against a veteran New York Rangers’ lineup that included Wayne Gretzky, who was held without a point in his Ranger debut. Guy Hebert made 34 saves, giving up goals by Peter Ferraro and Eric Cairns.
Left wing Garry Valk hyperextended his elbow Saturday and isn’t expected to play tonight. Paul Kariya remained in Anaheim as he rehabilitates an abdominal muscle injury. Center Joe Day did not make the trip because of a groin injury.
