Man Is Killed in Drive-By Shooting
SAN CLEMENTE — A man was killed late Sunday night in a drive-by shooting that may be gang-related, officials said.
The victim, whose identification was not immediately released, was standing in front of his home in the 100 block of Avenida Dominguez about 9:20 p.m. when he was shot, said Lt. Lynn Nehring of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Moments after the shooting, authorities stopped a vehicle and questioned the driver and others in the car, Nehring said. The investigation is continuing.
