Former Ambassador to Speak on Djibouti
Martin L. Cheshes, former ambassador to the republic of Djibouti, will speak Thursday on “Recent Developments in the Horn of Africa” as part of UCI’s Global Peace and Conflict Studies program.
Cheshes, who served as the ambassador to the former French colony from 1993 to 1996, will discuss political affairs in African countries.
The lecture is the first in a series on international relations sponsored this fall by the program.
The free public lecture will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Room 112 at UCI’s social ecology building.
