Nets’ Benoit Injures Foot
Associated Press
David Benoit, slated to be the New Jersey Nets’ starting small forward, apparently has a severe Achilles’ tendon injury that will sideline him at least a couple of months.
Benoit, who played with the Utah Jazz for the last five seasons and signed with the Nets as a free agent in the offseason, was injured last week when he was kicked in the right leg in one of the first practices at the Nets’ training camp.
