Jeremy Jack, 19, a redshirt freshman cornerback for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo who had not played this season, died in an automobile accident Sunday morning.
Jack, a three-sport star at Salesian High, apparently lost control of his vehicle near Salinas and was pronounced dead on arrival to Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly, his sister, Rhonda, and his grandmother, Branch. The team is expected to honor Jack on its uniforms this weekend when they play host to St. Mary’s.
