Wider Probe Urged of Jewish Seizures

A French probe into the seizure of apartments from Jews sent to Nazi death camps in World War II should include the taking of the victims’ money, jewels and other assets, Nazi hunter Serge Klarsfeld said. The Paris City Council halted a sale of apartments Monday after allegations that some of the city-owned dwellings, mainly in the medieval Marais area where many Jews live, may have been seized from Jews during the war.
