Stars to Participate in Benefit for Shelters
Michelle Pfeiffer, David E. Kelley, Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas, Brooke Shields, Andre Agassi, Michael Keaton, Rosie O’Donnell and other celebrities are scheduled to take part on Sunday in “Children at Play,” an all-day festival and exhibition of art created by children living in L.A.’s battered women’s shelters.
Scheduled activities include an equestrian exhibition, petting zoo, puppet show and carnival activities such as midway games, carousel rides, fortunetellers and magicians.
The event benefits L.A. County’s 23 shelters that serve battered women and their families. Tickets are $500 for adults and $50 for children under 13.
