Citizenship Forum Set at Rancho Santiago
The U.S. Citizenship Action Network’s third annual statewide citizenship conference is coming to Rancho Santiago College on Dec. 7.
The conference, “Civic Responsibility: The New Role of Citizens,” will focus on the importance of having a voice in the nation’s political process. It will be at Phillips Hall on campus, 1530 W. 17th St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The college as well as local and state leaders will present workshops and seminars. Included will be representatives from the National Assn. of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, United States Citizenship Action Network and the League of Women Voters.
