The Division II Wildcats didn’t make a field goal in the first half, scored only three points in the first 20 minutes and lost to Wisconsin Green Bay, 46-21.
The score at the half: Wisconsin Green Bay 14, Northern Michigan 3. Football, anyone?
Northern Michigan (2-1) missed all 21 shots in the first half and made only seven of 50 (14%) for the game. The Wildcats didn’t score until Ed Canning’s free throw with 8:11 left in the first half.
Kevin Olm scored 15 points and had 13 rebounds for Wisconsin Green Bay, playing its season opener.
Northern Michigan was “led” by Jimmy Roberts, who had five points.
