Two Teens Shot in North Hills; One Is Critical
NORTH HILLS — Two teenage boys were hospitalized--one in extremely critical condition--after being shot Friday by an unknown assailant, authorities said.
Police said the shooter--also thought to be a juvenile--apparently walked up to the victims in the 14800 block of Roscoe Boulevard and fired, said Officer Don Cox, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. The reason for the 5:20 p.m. shooting was not clear, he said.
The two victims were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, according to authorities.
One boy, who was shot in the head, remained in critical condition Friday night, Cox said.
The other’s wounds, in the back and wrist, were not life threatening.
